SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Community Church (Mirage Flats, Neb.) collection is arranged in three series: 1) Church Records, 1920-1952; 2) Cemetery Records, 1888-1961; and 3) History. Series One and Two are on microfilm. Entries in both volumes of records are in the Danish language. Series Three (found on Filmstrip #18) consists of a three-page, typewritten essay "Historical Highlights," by Reverend Lavern Larkowski. This collection relates to the early history and later activities of the residents of Mirage Flats, a rural community near Hay Springs in Sheridan County, Nebraska. The church loaned the collection for microfilming in 1962.
