The Saron Evangelical Lutheran Church collection is arranged in two series: 1) Constitution and minutes, 1872-1932 and 2) History of the church. Series one consists of two volumes containing handwritten entries commencing December 6, 1872. The constitution and a portion of the minutes are written in the Swedish language. Series two consists of a four page historical sketch of this church founded by Swedish farmers in 1872. The author and date of this sketch are unknown. The collection relates to the history and activities of the church and community.

These items were loaned to the Nebraska State Historical Society for microfilming on August 8, 1956, by Reverend Delpho Peterson, pastor of the Saron Evangelical Lutheran Church, as part of the Norden Club project in Scandinavian history.
