BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Harry L. Tripp, son of William E. and Mary Tripp, was born in Washington, Kansas. When the United States entered World War I, Harry enlisted, and served as a Private 1st Class with Battery A, 67th Artillery C.A.C., 35th Brigade, First Army. After leaving military service, he married Hazel E. Frederick of Lincoln, Nebraska. He operated the Mogul Barber Shop in Lincoln for 35 years, and died in September 1960.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

This collection consists of papers and photographs documenting the military service of Harry L. Tripp in World War I. The materials have been arranged into two series: 1) Manuscripts, ca. 1917-1919; and 2) Photographs.

Note: Researchers are required to use gloves when handling photographs.
