The collection contains recollections of Ida Mae Lewis' life (ca. 1862-1951), mostly in Lincoln, Nebraska, written by Lewis' granddaughter, Dorothy J. Smith. Lewis' interest in prison reform at the Nebraska State Penitentiary, as well as her work with the Salvation Army, are described. Also included in the collection is a program for Lewis' memorial service from June 24, 1951. The program includes a brief biography and eulogy.
