SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The collection consists of the reminiscences of Nancy Garton (Mrs. Alf Garton) of Dewitt, Saline County, Nebraska. The reminiscences cover the years 1864-1868 and describe early pioneer experiences in Saline County, Nebraska. They describe grasshopper infestations, hail storms, and floods. The reminiscences also include information about the Cox and Garton families.
