The collection contains correspondence and copies of newspaper clippings on the life of Phillip R. "Parson Bob" Landon. The materials date from 1870-1934 and include some items copied from Dana College at Blair, Nebraska. Some of the materials explore the authenticity of Landon's claims about his exploits as a frontier scout and Indian fighter. There are also writings by Landon, including "Old Snowball" or "Did Columbus Discover America," in which he gives his version of Indian history in northern Kansas, central Nebraska, Iowa and Wisconsin. Also included are obituaries for Landon.
