Olga Olivares

Few people in the Scottsbluff, Nebraska, community do not know Olga Olivares. Her knowledge of traditional Mexican songs, sayings, stories, and crafts makes her a living treasure. She was born in Flores, Texas, in 1939 and came to Nebraska in 1952. She was a founder and is currently director of the Mexican American Historical Society in Scottsbluff.

Son muy pocas las personas en la comunidad de Scottsbluff, Nebraska que no conocen a Olga Olivares. Su conocimiento de canciones mexicanas tradicionales, dichos, historias y artes plásticas hacen de ella un tesoro viviente. Nació en Flores, Texas, en 1939 y vino a Nebraska en 1952. Fue fundadora y es la directora actual de la Mexican American Historical Society en Scottsbluff.
