Linda Garcia-Perez de Rivera

Linda Garcia-Perez de Rivera

Like so many other Nebraskans of Mexican descent, Linda M. Garcia-Perez de Rivera's family was driven from Mexico during the Mexican Revolution. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1946, she is a third generation Nebraskan. Though not necessarily a traditional artist herself, Mexican traditions are an important part of her own artistic voice and she and her husband, Jose Garcia, have been working to preserve and present Mexican cultural traditions in the Omaha community.
