Position Title: Collections Assistant / Textiles

Supervisor: Laura Mooney / Deb ArenzDuties / Responsibilities: Cataloging and photography of textiles. The intern will do some research in preparation for cataloging and enter information into the database. Interns can concentrate on areas of interest (women's clothing, men's clothing, uniforms, specific decades).
Qualifications:
Required: Must have completed college level coursework in Museum Studies, history, textiles, or related field and pursuing a career in the museum field.
Desired: Prior experience working in a museum collections department with historic textiles; graduate level coursework in collections care and / or textile preservation; familiarity with Past Perfect museum software.
Hours per week: Minimum 10, Maximum 28
Days preferred: M-F, 9am-4:30pmSemesters Available: Spring, Fall
Number of interns per semester: 1
