Objectives: Pupils will
- learn about the symbols that officially represent their state
- review the historic landmarks and their significance to Nebraska
history
- learn about modern landmarks and symbols of Nebraska.
Understandings:
- State symbols are objects or places that represent various
qualities and strengths of the state.
- In Nebraska, anyone may nominate a state symbol, but the
legislature gives final approval.
- We have many symbols that remind us of Nebraska history.
