What Did You Do in the War?


In this packet, you will find the historical documents listed below. Each document comes with a half-page of background information on the topic and "Suggestions for Teaching," discussion ideas and activity suggestions ranging from designing a war bond poster and comic strip to comparing the scrap drives of the 1940s to recycling today. Also included in this packet are useful directions for conducting an oral history interview. These guidelines could be easily used by your students for a class project.
