From its early beginnings in Lincoln, Terri
Lee was a family enterprise. Company founder Violet Lee Gradwohl
named the legendary doll after her daughter. Violet's cousin,
noted artist Maxine Stevens, sculpted the original mold. Over
the years several family members worked at the factory both in
Lincoln and Apple Valley, California. Today, Terri Lee Associates
owns the rights to the line and licenses the manufacture, sale,
and distribution of Terri Lee products.
